Careers in Human Design

Human Design is a real profession. Here's what the work actually looks like.

Every week, people pay professionals to read their charts, guide their deconditioning, and apply Human Design to their careers and businesses. The demand is real. What separates the professionals from the hobbyists isn't enthusiasm — it's lineage credentials: training in Ra Uru Hu's original system, supervised practice, and certification under a teacher the lineage itself recognizes. This page lays out the three career paths, the economics, and the training behind each — with nothing inflated.

Three professional paths

Guide, Analyst, or Human Design for Work consultant

"Human Design reader" is the search term; in the lineage, the work splits into three distinct professions. They differ in depth, training length, and the kind of client you serve.

Path 1

Living Your Design Guide

The work: leading people through the foundations of their design — type, strategy, authority, and the beginning of the deconditioning experiment. Guides are the steady presence who catches not-self patterns in real time and designs experiments that stick.

Typical offerings: Living Your Design workshops, group programs, and 1:1 deconditioning support. Many graduates begin offering these during or immediately after training.

The training: LYD Guide Certification — $1,800, with a full year of live weekly mentorship, supervised practicum, and certification on completion.

Path 3

Human Design for Work consultant

The work: applying the system to career and business — how an individual is designed to decide, contribute, lead, and earn, and how teams and partnerships put the right people in the right seats.

Typical offerings: career-direction consulting for individuals, and team design and partnership-dynamics work for businesses and organizations.

The training: the advanced Professional Mentorship track, by application, for working practitioners — including the Human Design for Career and Human Design for Business consulting tracks and 1:1 mentoring.

The economics, honestly

What readings sell for — and what actually builds a practice

Professional Human Design readings commonly sell for $97–$650 per session, depending on the practitioner's experience and the depth of the work. Deeper analysis — partnership readings, cycle readings, incarnation cross work — sits at the higher end, which is one practical reason the Analyst credential matters commercially as well as professionally.

Session price is only half the equation. What builds a practice is the part most training skips: positioning, pricing, and client acquisition. Our practitioner training includes a business-of-readings curriculum for exactly this reason — chart skill alone does not build a practice.

What we won't tell you

You will not find income projections here, because we can't honestly give you any. Two graduates with identical credentials can build very different practices — results depend on the practitioner: the depth of their skill, the consistency of their effort, and how seriously they treat the business side of the work. A certification gives you the craft and the credential. What you build with them is yours.

Is this you

The people who make this work their profession

Coaches, therapists & healers

You already hold space for clients and want a framework with real depth — not a personality quiz stapled onto your existing practice. Lineage training lets you integrate Human Design at a level clients can feel the difference in.

HD obsessives ready to go pro

You've done your own experiment, you read charts for everyone who'll let you, and friends keep telling you to charge. What you're missing isn't passion — it's the supervised training and credential that turn a fascination into a profession.

Career-changers wanting meaningful work

You want work where the hours mean something. Guiding someone back to their own authority is that kind of work — and the path there takes months rather than years, with a 14-day fit guarantee so you can test the ground before committing fully.
