Understanding IHDS Certification & Our Independent Training
We are fully committed to Ra Uru Hu’s original Human Design mechanics since 2012.
Because we operate independently of the International Human Design School (IHDS), we cannot guarantee official IHDS certification or listing.
We believe in full transparency so you can make an empowered, informed decision aligned with your own Personal Authority. Here is everything you need to know.
At ICONIC Human Design Education, PMA hosted at thehumandesignsystem.com with courses delivered at HumanDesign.Live, our mission is to transmit Ra Uru Hu’s original Human Design System with purity, integrity, and accessibility. We honor the mechanical foundation Ra laid down and support every student’s and professional’s right to follow their Strategy and Authority.
We offer all our programs — including the Living Your Design Guide (LYDG) Training, Professional Analyst Training pathways, LYD, ABCs, Cartography, and advanced holistic/health/career/business/mystical/mechanical non-certification and original courses — as complete, standalone educational experiences.
While many of our graduates successfully pursue and have gone on to receive IHDS certificates, we are an independent organization and therefore cannot guarantee official IHDS certification or public listing on ihdschool.com as a certified professional.
If the IHDS integrity agreement is not correct for you to sign, here are some alternative choices where you can be a Board-Certified Human Design professional if you register with them, as we were invited by the board to be accredited through both options in good standing since Dec 2024 (choose either one):

As of 9/11/2018, if you want to be listed as a certified professional and teach recognized LYD courses, this is the updated integrity agreement they will want you to sign before you get your Certification.
"International Human Design School (IHDS) is the exclusive certifying authority for the Human Design System, The Global Incarnation Index, The Primary Health System and all knowledge derived from the teachings of Ra Uru Hu.
You are receiving this notice because you have enrolled in an official Human Design System certification training and are either recognized and/or recommended by your Teacher, National Human Design Organization or by the IHDS.
The International Human Design School is issuing certificates Internationally to recognized professionals who are committed to serving their communities while preserving the integrity and standards of the knowledge, which are presently in force worldwide.
The issuance of these certificates lays the foundation of the Human Design Professional Class. With the worldwide expansion of the knowledge, standards and reliability are essential. The IHDS looks forward to working with and promoting committed professionals. It is a precondition to issuing the certificate that the Professional Integrity Agreement be agreed to by you.
Professional Integrity Agreement:
I agree to represent with professionalism and integrity the Human Design System.
I agree to maintain my educational standard by annually participating in official Continuing Education, which includes official courses, workshops, self-study, recordings and books.
I agree to offer only services that I am qualified and certified to offer.
I agree in my professional work to use, offer or recommend only officially recognized Human Design System materials and products.
I agree that in representing my Human Design services to the public that that is what my clients will receive. As such I agree that if I have other services I wish to offer that they be offered clearly apart from Human Design.
IHDS recognizes everyone’s right to follow their strategy and authority but it is now our official policy and that of licensed organizations in Human Design that only professionals who can agree to the above will be legally recognized and officially promoted."
The IHDS Professional Integrity Agreement Explained
The IHDS requires professionals to sign and uphold this contract for official certification and listing. Here is a clear breakdown:
Professionalism and Integrity — Represent the Human Design System with honesty and high ethical standards.
Annual Continuing Education — Complete official IHDS education every year.
Qualified Services Only — Offer only services you are certified for, at IHDS-specified pricing and standards.
Official Materials Only – No Derivatives — Use only official materials. You do not have permission to create or monetize your own HD books, courses, tools, or other derivative materials without written authorization from Jovian Archive.
No School or Academy Representation — You cannot call yourself an official “school” or “academy.” Present only as an independent IHDS Certified professional.
Pure Human Design Offerings — HD services must be pure. Other modalities must be clearly separated in both marketing and delivery.
Listing Policy — Only those who fully comply receive a listing on ihdschool.com.
Important Reality Check: The IHDS can and does update rules and has removed certifications/listings from professionals who (in their view) violated the agreement. These decisions are at their sole discretion.
Why We Operate Independently
After two cycles (14 years) of deep involvement in HD, we have chosen independence while remaining loyal to Ra’s pure teachings. Our trainings deliver Ra’s mechanics with clear guidance, practicums, study groups and practical tools (such as templated promotional and analysis presentations we provide for your work upon completion) and always recommend source materials for a complete educational experience.
This independence allows us to:
Focus on deep deconditioning and correct transmission according to Ra
Support ethical integration of Human Design with your unique expertise
Honor each person’s right to be their own Authority while respecting the source
Offer our own ICONIC verification pathway (emphasizing real competence and practitioner protection via PMA structures)
What This Means for Our ICONIC Students & Graduates Our courses prepare you exceptionally well in Ra’s original mechanics. Upon completion, you receive strong foundational (or advanced) knowledge and practical support tailored to your design.
However, if you seek official IHDS certification/listing afterward, additional steps are required (prerequisites, official manuals, presentation fees, certification fees, audits, record-keeping, and signing their agreements as well as any in your country as applicable), and approval is not guaranteed.
Bottom Line:
We cannot and have not promised IHDS outcomes since July of 2024 as an independent small business and Private Membership Association.
